I installed a Plantronics Voyager Legend UC bluetooth headset to my work provided Lenovo ThinkPad laptop running Windows 7. The headset shows up as a device in Control Panel - Devices and Printers. It also shows as a device in the Control Panel - Sound Playback or Recording tabs.

I need the headset to be the playback device for my VoIP work phone. It worked perfectly for about 3 days and I do not know what changed. When I do a 'test' the green bars move, indicating that sound is going to the device, but it cannot be heard. I have checked the volume on the headset itself and it is at max. The headset tells me it is connected to PC and it is set as default in Sounds - both Playback and Recording. I have tried making Default and Default Communications - neither works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device with the same results.

I have rebooted the computer.I have been all over the internet trying to find a solution to this problem and so far have not been successful. I've spent hours on this and it should not be that difficult but it has turned out to be.

I appreciate any help you can provide. Please be advised that I am by no means tech-savvy and any assistance needs to be 'dummies' format: )Thanks!

I have a Dell Precision with integrated Bluetooth from work. I wanted to connect either one of my two Bluetooth headsets (Plantronics UC Voyager Pro v2 and Sennheiser MM450X) in order to make calls with it using our Cisco IP Communicator. In both cases, the Bluetooth device pairs OK. Then Windows tries to install drivers, and fails, leaving the device useless. The devices work perfectly with my phone and tablet (both Android). What can I do to get it to work? I can't seem to find drivers on either the Plantronics or the Sennheiser site. I am using the Plantronics without the USB dongle they provide, because that is temporarily misplaced:). These are the steps that helped me in a similar situation:.

Remove all device drivers that you already tried installing to fix this issue. Reboot.

Install the Broadcom Driver 6.2.1.500. Pair the headset device with the computer.

In the device manager, check whether there is a single 'Bluetooth Periphal Device' listed with missing driver, if so, continue with the next steps. Right click on the device, select 'Update Driver Software.' , then 'Browse my computer.' , followed by 'Let me pick from a list.' . In the list of hardware types, choose 'Ports (COM & LPT)' (!).

In the following window, select manufacturer 'Microsoft' and model 'Standard Serial over Bluetooth link', then click 'Next'. A driver update warning will probably pop up, click 'Yes'This is in short the list of steps described by Andy Dendifer in the.
